Long time Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard has expressed his desire for his club to capture the services of Inter Milan's Dutch midfielder Wesley Sneijder.

The 28-year old Dutchman has been unhappy at San Siro ever since Jose Mourinho left the club to manage Real Madrid. Galatasaray are also rumored to be interested in his services, although they might encounter problems as the player's agent is requesting a €6 annual salary for his player and the Turkish side simply cannot afford that at the moment.
Gerrard also believes his club can secure Champions League qualification this season, but only if they keep Uruguayian striker Luis Suarez. After signing a new 4-year deal in August he has already scored his 20th goal of the campaign against Norwich at the weekend.
“Hopefully we can put a fight on from now until the end of the season to finish fourth and we make the decision for him but Luis Suarez deserves to be in the Champions League, I think everyone has to admit that.” - said Gerrard.
