When you are a big name Hollywood superstar, you are going to be forever in the public spotlight, so it is always good to keep yourself looking in great shape, especially as you begin to get older. Well it seems that this is exactly what Hollywood veteran Tom Hanks has been doing, as he edges ever closer to his 60th birthday.

While talking about what it is he has been doing in order to keep himself looking in such tip-top shape, Tom Hanks has put it down to his recent discovery of yoga and how it has transformed his morning ritual. Rather than going full-out on the yoga front though, Tom likes to keep it simple but, whatever it is he is doing, it is clearly working.
Hanks explained, "I don't even have aches and pains, because I started stretching. I started doing the yoga, it's the greatest thing you can ever do. You don't want to go, you know, (too new age-y). You don't want to put on yoga pants and burn incense and have wind chime music while you're doing it."

He added, "I just turn on the radio really loud and, you know, count it out. I view it as glorified sit-ups, that's what I say. Because when you said, 'Oh, I do yoga now', they automatically go, 'Oh and are you reading Siddhartha?' No, so I say 'I did my glorified sit-ups this morning' and then they think you're He-Man!"
Fair play to you Tom, keep up the good work.
