Tom Hiddleston has played Loki on a number of occasions already and many expected that he would return again for The Avengers 2. However, Tom has been talking about the Marvel movie and claims that he is not expecting Loki to be in The Avengers sequel, as fans will want a new villain.

Hiddleston was talking to MSN when he explained, “I don't know. And that really is the honest answer. I know I've been known for obfuscation in other quarters, but I have no idea.”
He added, “I haven't spoken to Joss. He's definitely doing it. So I suspect not, only because I think that probably the audiences are tired of Loki being the bad guy. Maybe the Avengers need somebody else to fight. But I'd love to be part of it again.”

Tom Hiddleston is set to reprise his role as Loki, for the third time, in the upcoming Marvel movie Thor: The Dark World, which is set to be released in the UK on October 30, 2013 before then being released in the US on November 8, 2013.
