There have been a number of movies over the years that have almost been made but never quite got off the ground. We recently told you about the planned Gladiator 2 movie with Russell Crowe, which never happened, and now we will take a look at the potential Forrest Gump sequel.

Tom Hanks was a hit in the fantastic movie Forrest Gump back in 1994, so it is no surprise that they planned to make a sequel titled Gump and Co., which was planned for a 2002 release. Unfortunately, one of the Worlds most terrible events brought an end to the planned movie.
Gump and Co. would have centred around Forrest Gump's life in the 80s and the 90s, with him appearing at some huge events and meeting some of the Worlds biggest icons. We would have seen Forrest Gump meeting Princess Diana, as well as helping to tear down the Berlin Wall.

Tom Hanks as Forrest Gump
The script for the Forrest Gump sequel Gump and Co. was completed the day before the tragic events of 9/11 and, following the Twin Tower attacks, Tom Hanks decided that it was probably not the best time to make such a joyous movie, so the project was dropped.
