A new Mortal Kombat movie is on the way
While some of you might be too young to remember the 1995 movie Mortal Kombat, there are those of you who will have seen it, with most of you loving it. That movie proved a success and spawned the 1997 sequel, which was not quite as good but still impressive.
Now, a Mortal Kombat movie reboot is in the works. It was first announced back in 2011, that New Line Cinema had decided to give Kevin Tancharoen a go at directing a full length feature film of Mortal Kombat. This was due to his success with the short Mortal Kombat: Rebirth, which went on to become a the hit online series Mortal Kombat: Legacy.

Kevin Tancharoen will direct the film
While there has not been a whole lot of information about the Mortal Kombat movie reboot recently, it is believed that Kevin Tancharoen is working on a script for the movie and wants to makes sure that it is perfect before he moves it into production. With that said, there is no word of when production will begin or even an official release date, so we will just have to wait and see.
