For those of you who are still not aware, there was a 130 car pile up in Kent earlier this month and Top Gear presenter Richard Hammond has spoken out about the accident. Richard says that it is because of the technology that modern cars have these days, that nobody was killed in the crash.

The Kent car crash
Hammond explained, "There’s nothing nastier than fog," before later adding, "Thankfully, modern cars are very safe and thanks to crumple zones and air bags nobody was killed.”
He then went on to state that, with the developments in technology, accidents like that will become a thing of the past, “As more cars are fitted as standard with gizmos such as collision avoidance systems (that use radar and automatically slow the car to a stop) they’ll be safer still and one day multi-car pile-ups will be a thing of the past," added Hamster.
