The Only Way Is Essex star Mario Falcone, has spoken out about his relationship with his co-star and ex-girlfriend Lucy Mecklenburgh. Mario claims that everybody wants to see them get back together but he has admitted that he is just happy to see her happy and hopes that her new boyfriend, The Wanted's Max George, can make her happy.

Falcone told new! magazine, "We're friends. We last spoke at the TOWIE wrap party. We had about half an hour of talking, which had everyone buzzing off their tits! Carol [Wright] and Big Mark came over and told us we should get back together, which made the talk even more awkward. Everyone wants to see us back together, but I think we both know that we need to do our separate thing and then you just never know…"
He added, "The one thing I've always said is if I can't be the person to put a smile on Lucy's face, then I hope she finds someone who can. So if he is that person then I wish him all the luck in the world. He did what he did with Michelle and I did what I did with Lucy. You learn from these mistakes and I'm sure he won't let another beautiful girl slip through his fingers. I'm sure he will treat her well."

It seems that there is a bit of a dating merry go round going on at the moment, as Lucy Mecklenburgh's ex-boyfriend Mark Wright is now dating Max George's ex-girlfriend Michelle Keegan. Meanwhile, Mario Falcone and the rest of the TOWIE gang will return for the new season of The Only Way Is Essex later in the year, on ITV2.
