Whether you are a fan of the hit television series The X Factor or not, you cannot deny that they have an eye for putting together groups on the show, with The X Factor bringing us One Direction, who formed on the show, Little Mix, who formed on the show, and Union J, you guessed it, who formed on the show. JJ Hamblet, Josh Cuthbert, and Jaymi Hensley were a three-piece at the auditions and, with the addition of George Shelley, Union J was born.

The Union J boys
Following their stint on The X Factor, Union J took their time to work on their new music and the boyband have finally found their rhythm and where they want to take their music. The Union J boys are currently working on their new album and they have admitted that they will once again be taking their time, as they want their new album to be better than their last.
JJ explained, "We're in the studio now writing for our new album. Like the other album, we don't want to rush straight into it. We want to make it right. We want to make sure it's better than our last album. I think, especially on our last album, we found our lane now. We want to just stand there and sing. 'You Got It All' was released and it charted really well and I think we've found our lane."

Union J in their X Factor days
Meanwhile, his Union J bandmate George Shelley admitted that the band took inspiration from talented songwriters, including the likes of Ed Sheeran, "It's going really well. We're just jamming and writing some material ourselves. Sia, she's incredible. Ed Sheeran, too. Good talented songwriters are our inspirations," he added.
With all the problems that One Direction have been facing over the past few weeks and months, the time could be perfect for Union J to strike and take over as the best boyband on the planet.
