When it was revealed that actress Vanessa Hudgens had decided to chop off her hair and put on some weight for a new movie role, the whole world started talking about it. Now, a few years later, we finally get to cast our eyes over the first Gimme Shelter trailer, which is out now.

Gimme Shelter centres around a young girl, who runs away from her drug addict, prostitute mother to live with her Wall Street broker father. When she discovers she is pregnant and decides to keep the baby, the girl is kicked out by her father and ends up in a shelter, where she begins to build a family of her own.
As well as starring Vanessa Hudgens, the Gimme Shelter cast also includes the likes of James Earl Jones, Rosario Dawson, Ann Dowd and Brendan Fraser. Meanwhile, Gimme Shelter is written and directed by Ron Krauss and has been talked about for quite a long time now.

Gimme Shelter will hit the big screen on January 24, 2014 in the US, while a UK release has yet to be confirmed.
