When it was first announced that The Saturdays has decided to bring the girl group to an end, to go off in their own separate ways, it was always going to be interesting to see which of the stars decided to do what, with most of them going down the solo music career route. Vanessa White has been working hard on some new solo songs for her debut solo album, and Vanessa has admitted that her The Saturdays past has really not helped her new tracks, because she has gone for a much sexier vibe.
White was chatting to Paper Magazine, when she explained to them, "I guess none, because the kind of things that I'm doing is so different I can't really take anything from that. I'm grateful for it, you do learn a lot of things but I'm happy to start again."
She added, "I came from a girl band which was very much pop and very different to this, but I've always been such an R&B fan. So I guess for me, it wasn't even necessarily the music, I wanted to say what I couldn't say before? I was like screw this I am such a sexual person anyway."
It will certainly be interesting to see what this new solo tracks are actually like, from Vanessa White, when she does finally drop that debut solo album, and just how well received the new music will be and how she copes with the solo life. We are also interested to see just how long it will be before Vanessa and the rest of The Saturdays girls, Frankie Bridge, Una Healey, Rochelle Humes and Molly King, decide to get the old girl band back together.
