When a successful television series has been running for many years and comes to an end, it does not take long for the fans to call for a movie to get made and, the longer it is left, the more the fans want to see the return. Some shows have come back with new seasons, after many years off the air, while others have decided to give the fans the movie they have been calling for.

One fans favourite show, that has had fans calling for more for the past few years now, is the Gilmore Girls, which starred Alexis Bledel and Lauren Graham in the lead roles and ran for seven seasons from 2000 until 2007. Since then, fans have been very keen for the Gilmore Girls to return, either with a new season of the show or with a Gilmore Girls movie being made.
Unfortunately though, it has been eight years since the Gilmore Girls last appeared on our television screens and we have still not seen anything new from the hit series. With that said though, there is going to be a Gilmore Girls cast reunion at the ATX Television Festival in Texas in June, with 11 of the former cast members already confirmed for the event.

With so many of the important people in the same room together, talk will no doubt turn to the possibility of a Gilmore Girls movie and it could finally become a reality. We are sure Alexis Bledel would love to return to her role as Rory, while Lauren Graham has admitted in the past that she was unhappy with the way the series ended. Let's hope everyone can get on the same page and make this happen.
