Following the success of the hugely impressive movie The Strangers, way back in 2008, which has gone on to become a huge cult classic, they have been many calls for a sequel to get made, with it looking more and more unlikely that it will ever actually happen. As the years passed, the fans of the movie began to give up hope of The Strangers 2 ever actually happening, before it was announced that the film was finally being made.
While we are all excited to see just how they manage to execute The Strangers 2, as well as being impressed with the cast they have brought together, there is one thing that we are eager to know. Is Liv Tyler going to make a cameo appearance in the movie, as her character Kristen McKay from the original movie?
The cast for The Strangers 2 already features some top names, including the likes of Christina Hendricks, who is likely to lead the film, as well as supporting cast members such as Bailee Madison, Martin Henderson, Lewis Pullman, and Leah Roberts. However, since it was revealed that Liv Tyler's character did not die at the end of The Strangers, we would love to see her making a small appearance in The Strangers 2, however unlikely it may seem.
As for the synopsis for the movie, The Strangers 2 is delivered as, "The film follows a family whose road trip takes a turn when they arrive at a secluded mobile home park and after the power goes out they decide to hunker down for the night in a borrowed trailer. Under the cover of darkness, three familiar masked psychopaths pay them a visit to test their every limit."
Filming for The Strangers 2 is currently underway and we are awaiting an official release date, by which time we hope to hear that Liv Tyler has been confirmed for a cameo appearance.
