There are still a lot of people who give a lot of criticism towards the television series The X Factor, suggesting that the show does nothing for the music industry and gives nothing to the world of music. However, there have been a lot of hugely successful stars to come from The X Factor, proving that the show is a hit and can still change the lives of many of the people who audition for the show.

One of the biggest and most successful acts to come from The X Factor would have to be the British boyband One Direction, who are arguably the biggest and best boyband to ever work in the music business, proving successful all over the world. So, when it was announced that One Direction were going to take a break, millions of fans around the world were devastated.
What the One Direction boys (Liam Payne, Niall Horan, Harry Styles, and Louis Tomlinson) did well, was to suggest that they were just going to take a hiatus to give their solo career a go, before getting back together and releasing new music as a band. With that said though, the longer One Direction have been split up, the more it feels like we are never going to get to see them getting back together, not any time soon anyway.

Some people have suggested that the longer they leave the One Direction reunion, the bigger it will be when they do finally get back together. Yet there are those who believe that the more success any of the One Direction boys experience on their own, the less likely they are going to be to want to get back together with the band.
