There are a lot of different and complicated rights issues that come with the comic book characters over at Marvel at the moment but the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been trying to add as many of these characters to their world as they can. Marvel have managed to come to an agreement with Sony to use Spider-Man in their MCU but there are certain characters from the Spider-Man world that they do not have permission to use.

When it was announced that we were going to get a Venom movie, fans were interested to see whether we would get to see Tom Holland making an appearance as Peter Parker aka Spider-Man in the film, something which has been denied. This then led to the fans to question whether we would get to see Tom Hardy bringing his character Eddie Brock aka Venom to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Well, at the moment it seems like Sony are focusing on keeping Venom to themselves and not sharing this character with the MCU, which answers some questions but then brings up more. With Venom being such a big part of the Spider-Man world, does this mean that we are going to see a different version of Spider-Man being used for future Venom projects? Could we see Miles Morales finally donning the Spider-Man suit on the big screen for Sony?

For now, production on Venom has only just begun and we will have to wait and see what they do with this movie and just how successful it will be, before we then get any news on the future of the character and any possible Venom movie franchise. We would love to see a Miles Morales Spider-Man but with Tom Holland as Spider-Man in the MCU, would that be too much Spidey at one time?
