Zach Braff will be forever remember for his performances as JD in the hit medical sitcom Scrubs but it was not all plain sailing for the actor. Zach admitted that he had to audition for the role of JD six times before he finally won the part and there was some stiff competition.
Braff explained, “I auditioned 6 times. In the end I was up against 4 guys. One was kinda famous. I knew Bill Lawrence (show creator) wanted me, but sometimes the network disagrees. I wore the same outfit every audition and listened to Radiohead's Stop Whispering and Blind Melon's Change to get me pumped up too.”
Scrubs lasted for eight seasons with Zach Braff as JD and then tried a ninth season with an all new cast but unfortunately the show was not successful and was cancelled. Zach Braff can next be seen on the big screen in the Sam Raimi movie Oz: The Great and Powerful, which is released on March 8, 2013.
