British music star Zayn Malik first made a name for himself to the British public on the hit reality singing competition The X Factor, where he missed out on going through as a solo artist, but was put together with Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, Harry Styles, and Niall Horan to create the boyband One Direction, who would go on to become arguably the biggest boyband on the face of the planet ever!

With millions of fans around the world and One Direction bigger than anyone could ever have imagined, Zayn Malik decided to break hearts everywhere, when he announced that he was quitting the boyband. It now seems like he cannot help but continue to upset the One Direction fans, as he has now spoken out about his time in the boyband, stating that he never wanted to be a part of the group.
Malik explained, "I think I always kind of wanted to go, from the first year, really. I never really wanted to be there in the band, I just gave it a go because it was there at the time, and when I realised the direction we were going in - mind the pun - with the music, I instantly realised it wasn't for me, because I realised I couldn't put any input in."

He added, "I couldn't give my opinion on this or that because it didn't fit the grain of what we were as a band or what we represented. So that's when it became straight for me, that's when I had to be like I've got to start thinking about myself. So I was always just writing anyway, even when I was in the band. It wasn't something that I had to think about and process information. I just always knew."
Is it just us, or does Zayn Malik sound like he is ungrateful for what millions of people would have killed for? He definitely needs to choose his words more carefully and watch what he says, as upsetting the fans is definitely not the way to go.
