It seems that dating a member of the biggest boyband on the face of the Earth can go a long way to boosting your own career, as Perrie Edwards and the Little Mix girls are finding out. Little Mix recently released their debut album DNA in the US and saw the record go to number four in the US album chart.

Some thanks for the impressive album sales will have to go to One Direction hunk Zayn Malik, who is dating Little Mix singer Perrie Edwards and made sure that his One Direction fans supported his girlfriend and her band, while also roping in his One Direction bandmates for support.
Zayn took to his official Twitter account to say, "Hey everyone little mix’s album is now out in America. Go get your copy its sick." Meanwhile, his One Direction bandmate Louis Tomlinson chipped in, adding on his Twitter account, "Go dowload the new little mix album if you live in america !!"

And it seems that the support of the One Direction fans has certainly paid off, with Little Mix becoming the latest UK act to make a name for themselves in the US. It would be interesting to see whether Little Mix would have made as big a statement without the support of the Directioners but that is something we will never know.
