'Passion' is an arthouse film starring Noomi Rapace and Rachel McAdams and directed by Brian DePalma, so it's a bit surprising to see that it has yet to be released in the US. The film has already screened at the Toronto International Film festival to tepid reactions, but it was announced that the film was not yet completely finished at the time. It has also since screened at the New York Film Festival and Belgrade Film Festival, and it has been picked up by Entertainment One for distribution.
While there currently no US release date, the film has been set for release in several international markets, including upcoming releases in Germany and Taiwan. A new international poster catered for Germany has been released, with the tagline as 'Geld Macht Verfuhrung - roughly translated, that means 'Money Makes Seduction'.
The synopsis of the film, per IMDB, is "The rivalry between the manipulative boss of an advertising agency and her talented protégée escalates from stealing credit to public humiliation to murder."
In addition to Rachel McAdams and Noomi Rapace, the film also stars Paul Anderson, Karoline Herfurth, Rainer Bock, and Benjamin Sadler. In addition to the poster, several new images have been released, which we have shown below.
